The Proposal
Shane proposed at Dinner at blue water grill in Perth. Dinner was already planned as my sister was staying with us before flying out to Karratha, and offered to watch out Son Steele. Shane had just picked up my ring and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to propose without me suspecting anything.
In hindsight there were plenty of signs I should have picked up on. I had just arrived home from an appointment and Shane was already showering and getting ready (which is unlike him, normally I am having to prompt him to get ready) He also wore a thick winter Jacket, which he never does. He continued to wear this through dinner, getting the meat sweats while eating his steak. Once we had finished dinner, we were sitting enjoying our wine and chatting. He proceeded to pull a ring out of his jacket pocket. Before he had a chance to ask me anything I said ‘aren’t you meant to ask me something with that’. He then asked if he could keep me forever, the answer a definite yes!
Why We Married Down South
We both love spending time in the South West. Particularly Dunsborough / Margaret River. We feel instantly relaxed when ever we stay south and thought it would make a good excuse to make the celebrations spread over a couple of days.
Our Style
We wanted our wedding to be on the smaller side, and had a total of 56 guests. Our plan was to have a relaxed, cruisy atmosphere and everyone to enjoy the party.

Favourite Moments
The whole day was just amazing, and stress free (thanks to Lauren Green)! It’s hard to pick a highlight. Our ceremony was perfectly ‘us’ , engaging, light hearted and full of laughter. The food was amazing, and post dinner was just a big party.
Advice For Couples Planning Their Wedding:
Stick to your guns and create the day you both want. Find vendors who make things easy and listen to your vision. Enjoy every moment and don’t sweat the small stuff. At the end of the day you’ll be married and that’s the most important thing.
