The proposal
It was a Thursday night, 2nd September 2021 when Jeff proposed to me in our South Perth apartment. Jeff made a beautiful roast dinner after a long day at work. I showered & put my pyjamas on and hair in a messy bun. I sat down ready to eat when I turned to my right, Jeff was on one knee, his eyes welled up. It was the perfect proposal! Jeff then surprised me with an entire weekend of events and dinners at Crown Towers to celebrate.
Our style, and why we chose our venue
We love earthy tones and simplicity so our style was rustic boho inspired. We wanted to create a relaxed vibe so only had our siblings as our bridal party and a cocktail style reception for 80 guests.
Xanadu is one of our favourite wineries in Margaret River. The wine and food is never a disappointment and we love the scenery of the estate. It now holds a very special place in our hearts! Caity Bramich, the events manager at Xanadu went above and beyond for us. We can’t thank her enough for her effort before, during and after the wedding! A special mention also goes to Ben & Lauren Henderson from Swift Hound Weddings for capturing the most incredible moments! We can relive the best day of our lives over and over again thanks to these two!
Highlights
We wanted to get our guests involved in the ceremony, so we had champagne on arrival for all guests, refills during the signing and a big group cheers/announcement of Mr & Mrs Reid at the end! Our bridal party reception entrance turned into a surprise choreographed first dance to Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen.
