Emma + Lewis

Emma & Lewis

Married on 4 February 2023

The Proposal

Lewis proposed in Las Vegas in a penthouse suite overlooking the Bellagio Fountains. I had been hassling him to propose for over a year (he says longer) it was such an special and we had such an amazing holiday.

Why we chose our venue

We chose Lewis’s Aunt and Uncles house, we have always loved it there! They have created such a beautiful home and garden and we couldn’t have imagined getting married anywhere else in Australia. We see ourselves living in Busselton one day, it’s a place we feel very close to.

Style

The style was rustic, romantic with an intimate feel we wanted a warm, loving and fun celebration shared with those who are closest to us.

Special Touches

My earrings were both our birthstones – pearl and Emerald and I surprised Lewis with cufflinks that had a message handwritten and engraved.

Best Moments

Lewis – Seeing Emma walk down the aisle was incredibly special and one of the most memorable moments.
Emma – Everything – IT WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!

Seeing all our friends and family laughing and crying with us for our ceremony especially with the amount of food references mentioned. We don’t enjoy having our photo taken so this was something we were nervous about but Alfie and Dan from Clique Visuals were incredible they we so hilarious it was such a fun experience and our photos are a reflection of that.

The speeches and Mcs did such an amazing job they were all so heartfelt and hilarious.
We had a clothesline we couldn’t take down so we decided to put photos of family and friends, in particular family that couldn’t be there and it actually turned out to be such a special feature.

Lewis built a trailer bar and having that as a focal point at a backyard wedding took it to another level and created a more elegant experience.
