The Proposal
I surprised Toni while we were hiking along the Cape to Cape track. We stopped off on a little private beach, and I got out the drone to take a nice couple photo (or so Toni thought). When she turned to face me, I was on one knee. Our drone managed to capture the whole thing, it was Great! I had then organised for both of our families to join us to celebrate for a weekend down south, camping.
Why we chose our venue
The magic of the groves! Olio Bello had everything, the unbelievable sunset over the lake, the Glamping, the long table under the lights in the olive grove. The entire venue is stunning, rustic and exactly what we wanted.
Our style
We wanted the day to feel natural and intimate, it was a small wedding (53 people) with our family and close friends. We wanted everyone to feel welcomed and part of the day. We didn’t want to put pressure on having the perfect day, just a laid back rustic feel, where everyone can enjoy themselves with great food and music 🙂
Highlight
A really special part of the day was having the piper surprise our guests at the end of our ceremony and guide them back to the reception area. We also really loved going down to Gracetown beach for some sunset photos on the cliffs.
Advice for couples planning their wedding
Make sure you have a clear vision of what you want your day to look like. And not to stress about the little things on the day! The planning and organising of the wedding is long and (can be) stressful, so when the day comes make sure to soak in every little moment, and enjoy every minute.
