The Proposal
During a weekend escape to beautiful Margaret River, Adam completely surprised me with a magical sunset horse ride – just the two of us, with golden light stretching across the horizon. The next morning, we set out early for a peaceful walk through the Margaret River Forest, coffee in hand, soaking in the stillness of nature.
It was there, surrounded by towering trees and birdsong, that Adam proposed – in Dutch! It couldn’t have been more perfect: being asked to spend forever together while doing what we love, in one of our favourite places. We spent the rest of the day celebrating with a private winery tour, just the two of us, toasting to the future with glasses of local wine and full hearts.
Why we chose our venue
The venue is wonderfully dog-friendly, so even your furry family members can be part of the celebration. Nestled among stunning vineyards, it offers breathtaking views and the unforgettable experience of saying ‘I do’ standing between the vines. The whole place has an incredible vibe – warm, welcoming, and effortlessly stylish. Guests are looked after beautifully on the day, with everything running smoothly from start to finish.
The restaurant is full of charm and character, with so much natural atmosphere that you hardly need any extra decorations. Best of all, the venue team provides almost everything you need and supports you every step of the way, making the planning process feel easy and enjoyable.
Our style
We wanted our day to feel rustic, romantic, and most importantly, like us-and it truly did. Every detail reflected who we are, and it couldn’t have felt more perfectly our own.
Highlights of the day
We chose to do our first look at our accommodation, and it gave us the most beautiful, intimate photos and video we’ll treasure forever. During the ceremony and pre-reception, we had a live artist capturing the magic in real time, which added such a unique and romantic touch to the day. Just before we entered our reception, we shared a private moment on the lawn-our first dance, just the two of us. It was quiet, emotional, and truly one of our favourite memories from the whole day.
Fragrance
I chose Chanel Coco Mademoiselle as my perfume because it’s subtle, beautifully fragrant, and has the perfect balance of freshness and warmth. I had never worn it before, which made it feel extra special-now, every time I smell it, I’m instantly reminded of such an unforgettable day.
Advice for Future Couples
Our biggest piece of advice to couples planning their wedding is to plan it together-just the two of you. At the end of the day, it’s your celebration, your love story, and it should reflect what you both truly want. When you stay true to yourselves, you’ll look back on the day with nothing but joy and memories that feel authentically yours.
