Picture a late-afternoon ceremony on Gnarabup Beach, just outside Margaret River, followed by a cocktail reception on a beautifully styled deck with ocean views. As the stars come out, the party gets going, and you dance the night away – simple, stunning and stress-free.

All our ceremonies take place on Gnarabup Beach with the reception venue just steps away at the White Elephant Cafe. At 1.6km, Gnarabup is one of the longest swimming beaches in the Margaret River area. It starts at the southern headland and curves its way up to Surfer’s Point, with smaller waves on the shore and bigger ones for the surfers off the reef about 500m away. It’s also one of the most protected beaches from the prevailing south-westerly breeze. If you grew up spending your holidays on the surf and sand, Gnarabup will bring those easy summer days flooding back!

Margaret River is less than 15 minutes away so, if you’re planning a destination wedding, your friends and family will have loads of accommodation to choose from. It’s also within super-easy reach of other towns like Busselton, Prevelly and Dunsborough. Not to brag, but Gnarabup truly is a great spot on the WA coast.

The White Elephant Cafe has a convenient car park and a large deck overlooking the sea. You and your guests will be able to stroll between the sandy beach and the venue, making it easy to mingle. Most will quickly take off their shoes – in fact, the piles of heels, sandals, brogues and loafers left on the deck inspired us to name ourselves Barefoot Beach Weddings!
